
Cettina Callari will represent Italy at the City of New York International Prize
Niscemi painter Cettina Callari is preparing to exhibit her works in the United States, participating in the prestigious City of New York International Prize. The Sicilian artist has been selected to represent Italy in a group show of contemporary artists to be held from 4 to 27 June at the White Space Chelsea Gallery, in the heart of the Big Apple.
The artists were selected by a jury that evaluated the candidatures on the basis of the prizes and awards obtained during their careers. Cettina Callari boasts a successful artistic career, with numerous participations in international exhibitions and prestigious awards. Her most important achievements include first place in the art exhibition in Spa, Belgium as well as in Nice, France, and in Switzerland, her second home country, where she was born and grew up artistically.
Her works have toured the world having been exhibited in Germany, Japan, Monaco and the United States, including an exhibition in Hollywood. With over 200 international exhibitions to her credit, Cettina Callari has received the appreciation of renowned critics such as Philippe Daverio, Vittorio Sgarbi and Sandro Serradifalco.
This new experience in New York represents a further significant step for the artist, who continues to take her art beyond national borders. The works of the participating painters will also be published in the catalogue ‘Artists in New York’, distributed to the world’s leading art galleries, offering global visibility to the selected talents.
