La Palma d’Oro’ trophy awarded in Monte Carlo to the painter Cettina Callari

Cettina Callari received important recognition in Montecarlo with the La Palma d’Oro Trophy for visual arts.

Prestigious International recognition was given to Cettina Callari, a painter, who was recently awarded the ‘La Palma d’Oro’ Trophy during the biennial exhibition ‘Artexpo Gallery’ in Montecarlo, Principality of Monaco. The artist exhibited her work ‘Time is over’, a painting depicting an hourglass, a symbol of the urgency related to environmental pollution.

The ‘La Palma d’Oro’ Trophy, considered the ‘Oscar’ of visual arts, is awarded by invitation to internationally renowned artists, further confirming Cettina Callari’s prestigious career. The painter was chosen for her rich artistic curriculum, characterised by exhibitions and awards all over the world.

The promoters of the ‘Artexpo Gallery’ event personally informed the Mayor of Niscemi, and the Councillor for Cultural Heritage, of Cettina Calleri’s award. She was received by both of them at the Palazzo di Città and congratulated her in person on the prestigious achievement.

Cettina Callari has been active on the artistic scene since the 1980s. She has exhibited her works in Japan, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain and the United States, receiving numerous awards and the admiration of renowned critics such as Vittorio Sgarbi and Philippe Daverio.

In addition to painting, Cettina Callari creates murals, sculptures, ceramic decorations and glass engravings for the packaging of famous perfumes. Her painting style,characterised by sensory landscapes, exotic atmospheres and female figures, recounts the beauty of Sicilian nature and conveys profound emotions.

One of the artist’s works, dedicated to the Carabinieri Corps, is currently on display in a picture gallery inside a command post in Bari, soon to be opened to the public. This latest award in Monte Carlo confirms Cettina Callari as one of the most authoritative and representative voices on the contemporary art scene.
